I proofread and edit scripts, treatments, one-pagers, director’s concepts and all kinds of competition, festival and marketing materials in Hungarian and English. As I cannot immediately include these with titles in the portfolio for understandable confidentiality and copyright reasons, we can discuss them separately in case of interest. Writing a quote, I take the platform, aim, and target audience of the materials into account.

The big challenge of managing the materials of the film festival each year is that the incoming texts are by the filmmakers themselves, distributors, and sometimes volunteers with many different English – and from this year, also by AI. (So it has become clear that editing AI-written texts I will undertake at a significant extra charge in the future.) We made good use of the previous years’ experience with the organizing team, and I also can be proud of some of this year’s Hungarian titles.
The enthusiasm hasn’t lessened while preparing this year’s brochure and learning from previous years’ experience—great teamwork took effect. Only the films can be better than the 2024 catalogue of Budapest Architectural Film Days.
Hungarian dubbing dialogues of the Netflix hit Boy Swallows Universe are my work. I was happy to get into an 80s story, taking a lot of care covering Australian slang and references woven into this literary adaptation.
Self and Scope is comin’ to town, and it’s a great thing, especially because I had the opportunity to create the written content on it. The people behind Self and Scope asked me to create copies exclusively in English. Like in other cases, a lot of thinking together, analytical insights, and plenty of inspiring moments preceded this job. Internationality was an important aspect, just like the clean presentation of the multifaceted consciousness appearing in furniture and product design. We have worked with the creative duo of Line and Round before, so I was happy to participate in setting up their webshop.
I was honoured to write about the peculiar family house by FOND Stúdió, which, in the whirlwind of the many dynamics, interests and tastes of the Budapest agglomeration, votes for local traditions and the long-term good. “Kis lépték, nagy törődés” (‘Small scale, great care’) – my first publication on the well-known Hungarian architectural site.
My visit to the architect couple in a house without a door led to one of my favourite ‘Deco’ conversations. A hundred-year-old house meets an iconic district of Budapest with the provocative yet easy and worthy ideas of a 21st-century family. Proceed to article here (Hun).
My social media copy for Manka on their handmade doxie-themed products became part of the 2023 advent campaign again, following last year’s success. It was an honour and an exciting challenge to create attractive content adapting the unique and carefully maintained style on the Manka platforms, referring to the Dachs-fensive Alliance between owners and dogs here.
