Introduction

In Short
I create and translate English and Hungarian written content. My mission is to deliver neat, easy-to-read, professionally correct texts corresponding to the given platform. Related to and independent of copywriting, I undertake design management consultations and research and operative tasks as well.

My main focus is curiosity, my criterion is accuracy, my aim is digging out the treasure – all enjoying the way.

In Detail + CVs
The world of film and media was the starting point: I wanted to be a cameraman and later an AD (assistant director) with great enthusiasm for children’s TV. The first wish led me to the ASA photo school by György Stalter and my first job in an international film crew (aka the grand shooting circus). Thanks to my other two ambitions, I had the chance to work with iconic pros of the golden age of Hungarian youth television. However, these extraordinary opportunities did not mean permanent employment, so I tried other peculiar fields.

Among other things, I worked for the management of Kistehén Tánczenekar (‘the Little Cow Dance Band’) and gained Krisztina Tóth Hungarian writer and poet’s special prize in a creative writing contest – for which I actually entered. I wrote blogs, visited photo exhibitions and contemporary events out of personal interest, and followed architectural novelties.

In 2010, I joined MOME’s new Design and Art Management MA course, where I got perspective-shaping years in addition to (or despite) the – that time – pompous-sounding name. I started publishing articles with the encouragement of one of my professors, and the range of topics has broadened over the years. All the several different threads of interest fell into place, motivating even my most recent activities and shaping a fully unique set of knowledge.

My talent for the language is a gift, equipped by true familiarity with the terminologies of the design world, film production, architecture, visual arts (esp. photography), media, pop culture, branding, trade fairs, and others. The logic of legal language, the structure of architectural technical descriptions, the formal characteristics of shooting scripts or the criteria of competition materials or press releases are clear to me. I am happy to dive into the widest variety of matters to convey coherent and valid information.

Hungarian is a big love, while English is a subject of continuous learning for me. My mission is to create neat, easy-to-read texts corresponding to the given platform, either to make the most of the artistic power of language when possible. I’m a millennial with the socialization and sophistication of an era without automated localization craziness. Misused idioms, spelling bigotry or loan translations (or ‘Hunglish’) also make me mad. I am critical of the visible signs of superficiality, haste, and ignorance.

In addition to writing, I continue to participate in operative projects, train myself and look for opportunities for mutual inspiration so that I can find, transfer and preserve value through my work.
